Why a blog?

An introvert at heart, I've avoided most social media sites even though many others have prompted me to do so.  Then I met Jason Jack Miller at my cousin's house.  He put a lot of social media time into getting his work published.  I created the original version of this blog to use as more of a web page detailing my stories and not really for blogging.  Then, after watching literary agent Cyle Young discuss the use of a platform, I want to use this as more than a website.

Following Cyle’s advice, I finally created a Facebook account.  I changed the name of this blog and plan to offer content that others will feel inclined to view.  Basically, the more followers, the better chance there is of getting my works published.  Twenty years ago, I truly believe that Lost Souls would have been picked up by a publisher.  Now, there is a gauge for publishers and that gauge is blog followers.
